VMware by Broadcom

A significant milestone in VMware's history is its acquisition by Broadcom, which was finalized in 2023. Broadcom, a global leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions, acquired VMware for approximately $61 billion, marking one of the largest tech deals in recent history. This acquisition positions VMware to further integrate with Broadcom’s software portfolio, enhancing its capabilities in cloud and hybrid cloud environments while continuing to provide robust virtualization and cloud services to its extensive customer base.
